Saudi Arabia 2018 Budget Highlights | Saudi Budget 2018

Custodian of Holy Mosques King Salman of Saudi Arabia has announced Saudi Arabia 2018 Budget in the Saudi Cabinet session which happened at Al-Yamamah Palace in Saudi Arabia.
King Salman approved the State’s General Budget for the Fiscal year 2018 on Tuesday and it is said that the 2018 state budget is the biggest ever Budget (Expenditure) in the history of Saudi Arabia and the plan for funding it are from various sources.

2018 Budget Funding Sources:
50% from Oil Revenue
30% from Non-Oil revenue
12% from debt
8% from Government Balances
The decline in the government’s budget deficit will slow next year. The 2018 deficit is projected at 195 billion riyals, or 7.3 percent of gross domestic product, against an actual 230 billion riyals in 2017.

Saudi Arabia 2018 Budget Highlights
– 85 Billion Saudi Riyals (SAR) to be generated by Tax on Goods & Services in 2018
– Saudi Budget 2018 allocates 2.5 Billions Saudi Riyals a month to the Citizens’ account in 2018
– Public debts % compared to GDP will not exceed 25% during the Fiscal balance phase
– General reserves will not decrease lesser than 250 Billion Saudi Riyals during the fiscal yeay
– General Expenditure in 2018 will also include General Budget Expenditure, Public Investment Fund and other Development Funds
– Increase in Energy, Water, Electricity for Expatriate taxes will continue to increase as per the earlier announcements

35 வருடங்களுக்கு பின் சவுதி அரேபியாவில் திறக்கப்படும் தியேட்டர்கள்

அரபு நாடுகளில் ஒன்றான சவுதி அரேபியாவில் கடந்த பல வருடங்களாக கடுமையான கட்டுப்பாடுகள் இருந்த நிலையில் சமீபத்தில் இளவரசராக முகமது பின் சல்மான் பதவியேற்றதில் இருந்து பெரும் மாறுதல்கள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
35 வருடங்களுக்கு பின் சவுதி அரேபியாவில் திறக்கப்படும் தியேட்டர்கள்
சமீபத்தில் சவுதியில் பெண்கள் காரோட்ட அனுமதி கொடுக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் தற்போது அங்கு தியேட்டர்கள் செயல்படவும் இளவரசர் அனுமதியளித்துள்ளார். இதனால் 35 வருடங்களுக்கு பின்னர் மீண்டும் சவுதியில் திரையரங்குகள் செயல்படவுள்ளன
வரும் 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் சவுதி அரேபியாவில் திரையரங்குகள் புத்தம் புது பொலிவுடன் திறக்கப்படவுள்ளதாகவும், மற்ற நாட்டு மக்கள் போல் இனி சவுதி மக்களும் தியேட்டருக்கு சென்று திரைப்படங்களை பார்க்கலாம் என்றும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Loans, ATM Services Free from VAT – Saudi TAX Authority

GAZT – General Authority of Zakat & Tax has announced that ATm services and loans will be free from VAT.
Interest or lending fees charged with an implicit margin for finance will be exempted from value added tax (VAT).
GAZT said that interest fees charged on Lonads, Credit Cards, Finance leasing, Hire Purchase, mortgages all are exempted from VAT.
Rumors about ATM withdrawals, the GAZT officials told the workshop that customers will not be charged for withdrawing or transferring money from their accounts using ATMs.

However, the 5-percent tax will be imposed on banks’ administrative charges such as the issuance of checkbooks, statements of accounts and safety deposit boxes and the customer will have to bear this expense.
Moreover, rental prices of residential properties, life insurance contract and issue or transfer of a debt security, equity security, or any other transferable document recognizing an obligation to pay a monetary amount to the bearer are also exempt from the VAT.

Facing Slow Internet Speed Issues in Saudi – Complaint Now!

ommunications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has informed and instructed all the customers to complaint if they are facing slow internet speed.
Users those who are using Mobile Phones and computer devices and facing slow connection speed can lodge a complaint now againts the Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

All the Telecom companies in Saudi Arabia have been enhancing their performance in terms of Broadband speed, connectivity and services. Even after these enhancements, internet users are still experiencing slow speeds after the FUP and are restricting usage of data after a certain limit. However the authorities have successfully ended this practice and brought clear intructions on FUP (Fair Usage Policy).
A Program called MEQYAS which is an initiative by The CITC to establish Internet Speed & Quality of Experience Measurement Platform in order to provide internet users in Saudi Arabia.
MEQYAS will enahcne trans[arency among Internet Service providers to provide better service to Internet users.
MEQYAS also provided you with a Internet Speedometer Application which is available in Google Play Store as well as Apple App Store to measure the speed of the Internet.

Limits on issuing License to Expatriates in Saudi Arabia




Traffic is increasing in Saudi Arabia after women started to drive in the kingdom. Accidents have also increased when compared to the year 2016.

Saudi Arabian Traffic department has said that they have been working on a plan that will introduce a new reform in traffic.
According to the new rule there will be a limit of issuing Driving License to Expatriates or foreigners.
Brigadier General Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Bazami informed “We are working on this plan with Labor Ministry”.
Saudi Arabian Traffic department want to bring this reform to have contorl over the traffic in the kingdom and growing rush.
The Traffic Department’s census also shows that Expatriates causes high no. of accidents and create traffic problems.
If they restrict issuing license to Expatriates and give this provision only to high profile expatriates or give license only if they are Driver VISA in the kingdom. They might restrcit issuing Visa to lowincome expatriates.

No Photos & Videos in Makkah & Madina Saudi Arabia


According to the news published in Daily Sabah, in a statement which is issued on Tuesday, Saudi Govt. banned visitors from taking photos and shooting videos at two holy places of Islam.
It may be noted that this ban applies to all including media persons. It is not limited to Great Mosque of Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabavi of Madina but also applies in the surrounding areas.
Saudi authorities said that the reason for this ban that it causes disturbance to worshippers at these mosques.
The statement further mentioned the penalty for violation of the ban. It said that devices used to take photos and shoot videos will be seized and legal action would be taken.
It may be mentioned that earlier, a photo of an Israeli man in Masjid-e-Nabavi had triggered uproar.
